Hi all again,

I'm looking for advise for the best system for antifouling a folding prop, bronze I believe, and the stainless steel shaft?

Thanks in advance,

Shafts tend not to get fouling on them. You can antifoul props, but the difficulty is getting anything to stick to the bronze. it also potentially gets washed off as soon as the prop spins.

There are various things you can try. Some people swear by polishing the blades each year. You can buy various magic potions or use lanolin to coat the prop. TriLux antifouling can be successful - that is what I use on a similar prop. Fouling varies from location to location and time to time, so best to see if you do have a problem in your area before you try to do something about it.

My boat just came out last week after 7 months in the water , hull had light growth and slime ,musses in space between rudder and hull , and pear shaped anode covered , however saildrive with interspeed and bare bronze volvo folding prop clean ,not even slime , i remove prop and polished before launching ,nothing else ,very impressed at condition ,
