Hi,
My elderly Nimbus 370 has a hull desperately in need of stripping off layers of old, peeling and flaking antifoul which is also very uneven in places.
Rather than just searching the Internet, does anyone have experience of professional companies using dry ice (or soda?) convenient to Northney on Hayling Island?
Thanks for any pointers.

symblast.com Paul will do a good job for you. Also worth asking in the marina office as they will np doubt have had contractors in the yard in the past. You will likely need to liaise with them to get the boat located in a position where blasting is acceptable.

Tech Coatings in Poole are excellent - no affiliaition but they did various commercial boats when I was in that world.

Try Shotton Marine. Based at Southampton but will travel. They did my boat very successfully prior to Coppercoat.
Thanks for the tip. Decided on coppercoat this year instead of slapping on the black stuff. I'm getting a lift & scrub tomorrow at Drivers and meeting George (Shotton) to chat about price.

Drivers must be the bargain of the winter. 38 foot AWB, lift, hold and scrub, relaunch for £209 inc VAT :D

Thanks wonky, George is a good guy. I can’t use Drivers as my boat is too wide for their lifting rig 😢

I met up with George yesterday, he did he’d seen you. Hope you managed to come to a good arrangement.

We wanted to check out the amount of fouling on my boat after 12 months in the water, with minimal use in the last six months. Good news is that the coppercoat appears to be working brilliantly, with very little fouling, only a very thin film of soft slime.
