I have a blue stripe of antifoul above the normal red of the hull. Can I mask one colour from the other with simple masking tape (ie does it stick to antifoul?) or is there something else I can use.

Thanks for your answers

Yes
Masking tape will do it. I have blue antifoul and a grey boot top so I paint the blue bit first up to the masking tape then take this off and tape onto the new blue when dry to do the grey.
I use 3m fineline tape and take it off as soon as I've finished painting

Re: Illegal migrants

The quality of the masking tape is important: with cheap tape (or high spec paint)
the solvents can migrate underneath bringing samples of the colour to produce
a delicate fringe-like effect...). This is especially true for 2 pot finishes (which is
what I used for the original errm experimental work). 3M is recommended.

Re: Illegal migrants

West marine good source of 3M fine line tape. Much cheaper than the average UK chandlery. Brilliant stuff!
