Good evening:
Twenty some years ago I painted my deck with DGK Anti-skid paint and was very happy with it however like a lot of things it eventually came time to re-paint the deck.
I contracted with a local company to re-paint both the hull and deck and was very unhappy with the result as far as the deck was concerned.
I had a friend bring me a number of cans of the DGK Anti-skid from Rhodes and very unwisely applied it over the existing paint after giving it a good scrub down. It was great for a time but eventually began flaking off making the deck an unsightly mess.
I have now contracted with another company to repaint the deck and he has suggested using Inter-deck paint which is a polyurethane paint. I am concerned that this will not provide the non-slip surface I want and as I have three cans of DGK Anti-skid paint left from my earlier exercise I wonder if it would be possible to mix the two paints together. DGK Anti-skid is also a polyurethane paint.
I have e-mailed the maker of DGK Anti-skid but have not had a reply and as D Day is approaching am becoming worried.
I wonder if any member has any experience with these paints or comments on my plan?
Cheers

P.S. have just checked the specs and note that the painter suggests Awl Grip topcoat white paint. I presume this is the anti-skid paint as he has only listed 2 Ltrs whereas he has listed 5 litrs of the Inter-deck paint.
