On my MD2020D (2005), I have a leak from the anti-siphon valve, cleaned but no improvement. I ordered replacement Type ASDV, but discovered that what I have in place is AIRVENTV.
AIRVENTV has a little pressure valve on top with a spring, Type ASDV has a different type of valve - no spring. Can someone tell me if they are interchangeable? Thank you.

AFAIK Vetus make two anti siphon valves. Type 1 is just a vent which 'pees' over the side continuously when the engine is running, Type 2 has a spring to assist opening and closing so doesn't discharge all the time.
Type 2 requires checking and servicing, type 1 does not. I've had a type1.

Thank you Tranona, ghostlymoran & VicS for taking the time to respond.
I get the difference between type 1 & type 2.
The ASTV unit has a silicon valve at the side, but the original AIRVENT V (well original when I got the boat last year) has a metal spring on the top.
I'll go ahead and fit the ASTV unit, thank you all.

All done, the ASTV works fine, thank you.
A final question, can anyone find the Vetus service Kit for this valve, it comes with a packet of 5 valves and a little brush?
It just might save me £99 on a new valve next time> Thank you.

Do you mean ASDV? Any Vetus dealer should be able to get you that; part code ASDVS

edit to add; order direct from Vetus here.
