What is recommended?

Used Marclear on the wooden boat two seasons ago, apart from the long stringy stuff in the heatwave of June/July 06', worked reasonably well.
The Anderson I bought last year had a tin of Blakes Hard Racing with it, seemed to be OK all summer.

What do you use?

Sitting in the mud most of the time I have to use hard antifouling, but when the mudglaze forms nothing works. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Progressively buying cheaper products with little change in success rate. 3 scrubs a year is not uncommon.

Generally NO.

However I scrape off all loose or dodgy bits and patch paint any areas that need it with Primacon. You can then re-AF as long as it’s the same as you have previously used. If it’s another make best check with the new manufacturer.

Having said all that I am personally a bit of an old Git as after Power washing I always flat the whole hull back with 180G wet & dry on the head of a long handled sponge mop with a slow running hose, then re antifoul when dry.

Just can’t wait for the grandchildren to get old enough as its just the sort of job I can delegate………… Peter

I can't believe you Larry. I mean I do; I'm not accusing you of fibbing rather 'I don't believe it'! I had three scrubs last year. Do you not scrub at all? I mean, damn it, I'm only 300 hundred yards from you.

Good day botheras.

Not sure what you mean as it doesn’t seem to make any sense unless you are replying to someone else’s and not my posting? as I said….

Did something get lost in the post or has it gone over my head???

Have fun……..Peter

interspeed Ultra on a drying mooring (2 coats). Don't know if it was the antifoul or the drying but only a light slime on pressure washing at the end of the season according to the yard.
