can any one help time 4 a boat is out of the water next week so im going to anti-foul her shes is 30' any idea of how many litre's of paint i need many thanks mark

Need more info. What hull shape fin/skeg, long keel, lifting keel, twin keel ........Mine is 26ft fin and skeg, and three litres will do two coats.

Most of the paints have recommended coverage printed on the tin.

I have just done a long keel 30 footer with 2.5 litres, Tiger Extra from Blakes, who said that 2.5 litres and 2 coats was about right. In fact there is 1/4 inch in the bottom, for high wear areas

For 2 coats?? ... I can believe it for one?

If you apply the paint to the recommended thickness, not just "number of coats" you will probably need approximately 4 to 5 litres. No less than 4 and no more than 5.
Check on the tin or technical literature for coverage rates and paint film thickness.

Yup... using a 4inch roller, several people remarked at the coverage, but that it what Blakes said it needed - they were right!
