Based in the greek end of the med, I seem to attract more than my fair share of barnacles and weed. I use international blue anti foul and only manage to get three or four months of clean bottom time. If I scrub every once in a while I can get to the end of the year with only moderate growth. If not I end up with a shag pile carpet. Any suggestions for a long lasting, even expensive if eventually cost effective bottom paint. Or am I doomed to half hull speed for half the year?

I found International useless in the Med - always used local anti-fouling - often from fishemens stores - much better results - If you are not on the move you need to swim under the hull when ever you are on anchorage - wipe the hull with a cloth - gently - and stick a screwdriver up the sea cocks to clear the banacles - on my 36 ft takes about half an hour...

Agree, In my first year in the Med with International Cruser Uno I had loads of growth and thought that it was normal until I couldn't buy it in Rome last year so had to make do with local 'stuff' so now 7 months on it is just wearing through but no growth at all.
International Trilux for the engines is even worse.
