Flag featured as one of the products in PBO at April 2004.
Comments : Application was straightfoward and no conflict with the Blakes Tiger underneath. After the test period, there were no signs of significant fouling although other areas not covered with Flag had barnacle encrusted. Tester said he would use it again.
Personnaly have been very impresssed with another product from the same test - www.teamac.co.uk
This had the comment - "The best I've experienced in 35 years sailing" I used micron before, and reckon this is heaps better. However, last years results are probably invalid anyway.
Page 99 of Vol 78 summer 2005 catalogue- yacht Varnish - 8.99/ltr, deck paint - 11.99/ltr, bilge paint - 10.65/ltr and anti foul - 16.00/ltr - all with next day deklivery. 0500414141 or screwfix.com
No link with company except I use them a lot and happy with quality and service.
I used Flag anti-foul this year. The Screwfix service is normally excellent (next day delivery) and I found the paint went on easily and seems to have performed well. I plan to use it again.

Yes - used Flag this year, and I believe the previous owners used it the year before. Bought some off Screwfix, some off Flag directly.
Flag did RYA-linked spring offers on their website in 2005. I paid about £29 a 2l tin. (Don't think RYA membership was rigidly adhered to....)
Found it to be rather viscous and application hard-going, but their thinners used sparingly helps. On pulling her out, got the usual slime.
I have 10 years' of antifoul to remove this winter /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, and I expect the shaling that is now exhibited had more to do with the 10-year-old crust underneath than the antifoul.
Have also used FLAG for last few seasons ..... as good as any other similar products and easy to apply. I believe you can also get it from FLAG directly at same price .... comes down to whether you'll pay carriage at Screwfix (unlikely).
Now..........anyone experienced JOTUN SeaGuardian which seems available at even better price. I have seen a few isolated good reviews. ?
Yep, used it last 2 seasons. On hauling out after the first season, the hoist man asked what I had used, as the boat was relatively clean compared to others he had lifted. Heavier fouling this year (slime & weed), but still OK. Intend to use again.
