I am newly in Penton Hook, I have saltwater anodes I propose to change these for freshwater type -is that right? Also do I need to change antifoul to anything different or is it just same old gunk?

You need manganese anodes.

You are pretty much right on the antifoul, algae will start to grow again after 3 months whatever you use.

Remember if you do go coastal that the freshwater anodes will fizz away much much quicker.

Surely you mean Magnesium?

With Manganese the boat would rot away before the anodes.....

A senior moment, can happen to anyone, rarefied atmosphere in SL6.
Don't want to confuse the chap do we??

My boat's anodes are immaculate....thanks to two coats of anti-foul!!

You have to wonder about some people who work on boats......
