Hi all,

move just recently purchased my lovely 2011 Antares 6.80 and am looking to install some slim line solar panels to the roof.
Does anyone know how the existing anchor / indoor 12v cabin light cables are routed to the fuse box?

I want to run solar wires down into the floor, but can’t seem to find a way down from the roof, using the light fitting hole as an access point.

many help would be much appreciated.

manny thanks Adrian

If it’s the same as my 760 the cables go from the light hole into a conduit along the stbd side of the roof which leads to the panel above the helm. From there into another conduit which goes back the same route then exits in the stbd side of the lazarette. From there you need to run the cables along behind the galley and into the back of the electrics box. Bloody ridiculous but no direct way down the pillar from roof to lazarette. Open the panel above the helm and you should see the two conduits.

Thanks Jamie,
I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my query and provide a photo.
I will take a look at this tomorrow and let you know.
I know my roof looks a different layout to yours, I have a large skylight in the centre. But will see if they are the same with the cabling route.
Many thanks
Adrian
