Are there any Beneteau Antares 36 owners out there that have some documentation specifying the fuel burn figures (2x Volvo D4-300)? I'm planning a longish voyage, and am trying to work out how far I can go without stopping. Unfortunately can't ask the old owner.

When I owned an Antares 8, I had a document that said something like:
@2000rpm, xxkts, xx.x L/min.
@2500rpm, xxkts, xx.x L/min. etc. Does something like this exist for an Antares 36?

Any help appreciated!

You can get an approximation but boat weight, tide, wind, hull condition, prop fouling etc will all affect you fuel burn

I would view any document which give a definitive fuel burn per certain rpm with a great deal of suspicion.

+1 my Antares 30 burns 20% more fuel with dirty bum, it has trip / fuel burn software upgrade so I see fuel burn increase through season. Depending on how long trip is, it may be worth a haul and scrub?

D4-300 spec shows fuel burn of 37.2 lph at 3000rpm, which is just under cruise speed for engine. So that's approx 75lph with clean bum. The volvo spec figures were 6% too low on my boat, so add some contingency...
