Another Yanmar Question - Oil Filters today!

Having bought a fresh boat, I want to lay in a stock of spare filters and am getting increasingly confused; before anyone suggests it, where we are, there's not a friendly local dealer to ask, so:

There is a 'spare' filter already onboard, with the reference number 119660-35150, however when I started Googling 'Yanmar 3GM30F oil filter', it seemeed that the recommended filter was more often (but not always) referenced 119660-35151.
In order to clarify things, I decided to crawl into the engine bay and see what was actually fitted, that's when things got really confusing: The filter curently fitted whilst finishing 35151, is pre-fixed with the number 119305?

So 119305-35151 or 119660-35151 or 119660-35150 or another one entirely or are they all the same and it doesn't matter?

Yanmar filter are expensive try to find out the equivelent filter and get one from an auto shop. The 2gm20 uses a Fram PH9688

Does anyone have an equivelant number for the 1GM10 Oil Filter as I agree they are very expensive. Fuel filters can be bought on ebay for £1.99.

I also bought my oil (and fuel) filters for a 2GM20F (same as for 3GM30F) on ebay. Fraction of the price of the Yanmar ones. Look on the Marine Power website to get the correct type and then look for the equivalent one

Sorry- I cant remember the no. but I am sure its the same as a Honda Civic car. Take the old one into an auto store fore comparison perhaps.

You could fit any of these. The 119305-35151 apparently supercedes 119660-35150 and is slightly smaller.

The Fram equivalent is PH6811.

Any filter fitting the Mazda 323 will do - and at half the price of the Yanmar filter.

The only disadvantage is that most are a lot bigger than the Yanmar one and you need rather more oil - in the other hand a much greater filter area.
