Spitty's about 1/2 mile upstream from the S Bend with the caravan site on it.
Gets a bit narrow up there, need a decent tide, although Roy Green did get Victory 83, a 12 metre up there to store for a year at Battlesbridge. Quite an achievement.

I've done a lot of sailing with Roy (Hart) over the years - as I remember, we had to wait for one of the highest tides of the year to get Victory up to Battlesbridge.
We also managed to get it up Benfleet creek to Dauntless!!

Roy Hart, correct of course. I was thinking of one my Bid Management team here. Doh.
TG: I havent tried, but I imagine there to be little water there unless its a pool, as battlesbridge and Hullbridge are notably short oh H2O at low water.

The chart suggests 1.8 at CD. Oh no, that's drying. That's brown coloured init? Won't try that then.

was a great day, was nervour about going right up to battles bridge after our barrow grounding friday...lol dont think the RNLI would be too impressed if call out to us again...
