We've popped back to the uk for a week so I've had the chance to upload a recently shot video; have to say that we are really feeling homesick for the boat and can't wait to get back.

Anyway, we are now in northern Spain now and have noticed:

The locals are more friendly
Things are less expensive
The weather is better
The coastline is stunning

In this film you'll see that we found an interesting contact anchored off San Sebastián, had a chance to try Ann's Hobie kayak and went cycling with our cruising buddies.

Next we head further west but we'll take our time and enjoy the sights :)

Another great video Nigel , thanks for posting . Food for thought if the draw of the sunshine makes us head south , although to be fair we have had an exellent time on the boat this last week .

I still have a video from our time in Benodet to post; if you've not done South Brittany then put it on next years itinerary... Glad that your trip West went well

How is our boat Rich? We are both feeling very 'home' sick...see you soon and fingers crossed for Ann's orchid :)

Boat and orchid both fine, Nigel. Visited Ribadesella by road today. It was full, not of boats but of cars and people! Couldn't park within a mile of the town. It was a public holiday today and another one due next Monday! Assuming the swell allows entry it looks as though we could moor against the quay which was fairly empty.. High water there is about 18.00 on 2 August. I think the Executive Officer favours the long drag to Gijon however.

Let's defer to her preference Richard, I'm not keen on the long night against the harbour wall....
See you in a week :)
