Should have posted this a couple of days ago, and as nobody else has I thought I would let everyone know that on the day that the rugby boys were winning the World Cup Conrad Humphreys of Plymouth and Aussie Paul Larsen arrived in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, in Hellomoto 500 miles or more ahead of the next Open 50 in the Transat Jacques Vabre Race.

Alright, then, half a UK success but a great boost to Humphreys' career. He led the University of Plymouth to win the World Unis championships when a student there and is a member of the Royal Western YC of England

I met Conrad Humphreys on one of the skipper selection weekends for the global challenge and I have to say he's a really very nice guy.

Proved himself to be a top sailor as well so good for him, I hope it all works out.

Conrad learnt his sailing at Exe SC, he's an Exmouth lad and the club's rightly very proud of his achievements.
