Another sad incident

The river was up to the top of the bank yesterday when I was there, that probably means it was over the bank in places, so could have been a tragic accident!
 
Chap went in at Iffley yesterday evening at 2100 ish after leaving a note.

Police fished him out downstream at 2110 apparently , no worse for his experience other than being a little chilly.

Luckiest guy ever , hope he got a lottery ticket tonight

Oh dear, oh dear oh dear.....I have a horrible feeling I know who this is: husband of an elderly lady (Austrian/Dutch?) who walks her dog in Ashenbury Park every day :(

Small world, TC: I'm also in Woodley.

Poor old chap...... this does sound deliberate as opposed to a river accident: no less sad an end for that.
