Another Question For Liveaboard Dog Owners

Alsation/Big Dog Aboard

Our experience is very positive, rebuilt the boat over the last three years on the hard, Dog Molly got used to living on board on dry land and loved it. Launched boat, and Molly stills loves it took things carefully in the tender the first coulpe of times, now has loads of confidence jumping in and out of tender. We were stuck on board for about 18hrs at anchour last year due bad weather and we could'nt get her to clean herself on the decks, she just waited thhe storm out! One problem though with a big dog on board as they get older they can't jump about like they used to and can be a major problem getting on and off your boat depending on the design of the boat, with a small dog , just pick up and away.

That last photo is great. They really are a gorgeous breed. A good point re. getting the dog on and off as both pet and owner get older! Taking that into consideration for next boat.
