I have to do some engine work that will entail removing all the port side ancillaries AND the exhaust manifold. However, it seems there are almost as many different types of manifold as there are boats with 4108’s fitted!

This engine has direct, raw water cooling, and a very bulky manifold that I've not seen on any other installation.

My query being… GASKETS??!! Anyone know how to go about getting gaskets for said manifold, or can I just make them from thick gasket paper or the like.

If anyone has ideas on this, I’d be grateful

Ta!

if it help`s ive got a box of 4108 gaskets in shed and if thersone there you need you mite be lucky as in order to get a gasket you have to buy all of them and ended buying 3 set`s over the year`s as I kept putting spare`s in safe place but could never find them and if im in a good mood will send it to you for a postage stamp and I also have a full manual on a 4108 I can print and send but that will cost the cost of ink as its 60 pages of text and pics unless I can scan and send mite be easier

I aint tight but my printer loves me spend a lot of money on keeping it running

pm me if I can help
