I posted a thread a few months ago regarding the options for replacing the seawater pump on a 3GM30F engine (I'm fairly certain they can be applied to 2GM engines too) insofar as the Euro-pump (impellers locked by a threaded pin, through a slot in the shaft) is substantially cheaper than unit fitted to pre-1996/post-1996 non-EU engines and works equally well; also the Johnson branded equivalent is even better priced again.
Anyway, this month I've been re-building our 'spare' pump (EU version, with pin/slot impeller, not the woodruff-key one) too and having seen the way in which the Yanmar originals had fared (I suspect that they're not stainless steel) and the cost of the Yanmar rebuild kit, I sourced everything from our local (UK) Bearing-Factor for >£20 incl. VAT instead:
1 x S60012RS Stainless steel bearing
1 x S62012RS Stainless steel bearing
1 x 24N0116 O-ring (11 x 2.4mm)
1 x 12-24-7 R23 Viton seal - this seal is double-lipped rather than the single lipped original, so it should prove helpful if your shaft's a bit worn, also whilst the 'Viton' material isn't necessary for this situation (I believe that they're primarily specified for situations with a large temperature difference?) I'm assured that these have the best quality stainless steel spring-loop fitted within them.
