Nicknames for lockies; Peter "Patch" at Hambleden (obviously) Dave Free at Marsh now Godstow "Donkey" etc.

Back to my youth there was the "mad Irishwoman" at Clifton, who must of retired early 70's, but I understand is still alive.

It is to be hoped that the new generation will "develop character" in time.

(Of course as far as EA regulations allow :) :) :) :) )

There's no fun working through under a grumpy Lockie.....

BTW As a result of recent events and better understanding my preferred Mr. Grumpy has been promoted to Not Grumpy and another lockie four locks up will now bear that title, unless of course we can resolve the situation.

Anyone want to be disingenuous and nominate their choice(s) ?

Mike, looking at the first post hasn't your nominated lockie four locks up just retired? (I certainly never found Geoff to be grumpy, but understand some others did)
