Coming in after yesterdays Bank holiday weather we hung the lifejackets off the Lewmar hatch locking handles, as we have before, to give them the best opportunity to dry without going off.
Mistake.
The puddle on the cabin sole that appeared was not from the lifejackets but from a leak around the hatch handles we had provoked. Bother.

I tighten my handles now & then other wise they dont pull down tight onto the O rings on the outside
 
OK, so now you've done the negative side. Once the sun comes out, be positive and consider how much better that the leak was discovered when it was and you can effect a repair at your convenience. Trouble with a boat is you can't put a bucket under the leak like most buildings with a "modern" roof!
