another idiot with mad ideas, new boat build

A small rib is ideal. I can always blow up a small tender which can be kept in the lazarette
looking for some sort of tender lift really. not wanting to spoil the lines with davits etc, although the fly bridge will take the weight, thats my least favourite option.
small dive rib is ideal.

Given your current cruising grounds I would suggest a small Rib tender / dive tender on fly bridge with crane and a second small dinghy with wheels or light to carry.

my one bug bear locally is carrying dinghy / outboard over rocks or any distance!

I have a 1.8 m can carry easy but fits 2 adults at a push and no engine but probably my favourite dinghy out the 5 I currently own !!!

Maybe a kayak would suit you in these instances ???

The Xpro ally ribs got a very good write up, proper ribs that you can actually take out on the sea....
Terrible web site...gives no weights, can you believe it!
IIRC. The 4.2 weighs less than 100 kg, it's in the round Ireland race (50% weight less than the grp opposition)
The 3 mtr weighs about 50 kg............not a proper sea boat, but rated the best handling small rib.

Ribs look cool stored on the brdge deck, you'll need to install a mini crane......a La super-yacht.

Time to end this thread and start a new one...........'50ft of Grey' Think we are passed the stage of thinking you are an idiot and have confirmed you are certifiable !!!

I want to see some pictures of 'Mrs Grey' at the yard even if it is a big airfix kit on the back of a truck !!!

I know it is getting built in Wales but I am sure they probably have cameras and internet??

Hi,

I'm building a Bonito 50 for the moment. I ordered the casco at Bonito Boats and I will do the finishing by myself. You can folow the build on my blog http://www.dbdream.wordpress.com

Nice project D-Dream. Thanks for the link to your blog. The boat is looking fantastic. Please note the story of Robg71's boat has switched to a new thread, with title "50 shades of steel", on the first page of this forum or at this link [url]http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?374141-Fifty-Feet-of-Grey-(steel)

I like your dashboard in the pictures below, and I have a question about it...

Was it inspired by this custom one-off dashboard? If it was, you’re welcome, and good going. If it wasn’t, what a nice coincidence! :D :D
