Another Good weather site.

Just looked at it - it seems remarkably like a grib file with different colours. Or the NOAA surface charts. I am beginning to wonder whether all these sites, inclduding Windguru and windfinder all just use the same base data. Over the last few months they have all been pretty consistently wrong on the same occasions. Now if someone could find a site that actually forecasts not just what is going to happen but what is even happening at the moment and reasonably accurately, I would be delighted!!!!

when the person that runs the site introduced it here in the forum a few months ago, he/she said they are GFS grib files, indeed the most commonly available source of wind vector forecast in the internet

I also use Caribwx as well. I guess the point I am making is that if all these sites use the same base data then it is only a matter of presentation and any baseline errors appear everywhere. An independant and differently sourced site would be of great help.

Tried the txt from Mailasail? Email help-text as subject to weather@mailasail.com for options. Handy if low bandwidth connection. Presumably there's been a person involved along the way as well instead of just straight from a computer. Worth a look.

I'm pretty sure that their service is just a 'pass through' straight to the NOAA service.

Probably is. Metarea2 seems to be from METEO-FRANCE. Useful though if you have email access but no web, espec combined with a grib fom the same place.

It's a nice site and fast to load but it seems this passageweather.com website is frame-based, meaning it is difficult to bookmark a specific page/location/weather chart. This might be an annoyance if you are on low or expensive internet connection.
