Pretty boring hull shape, just like a pair of plane floats; slender non-planing is where it's at.
Bit dismissive?
Looking a bit more at the links, I didn't realise they actually had some in service. The one in the original post is the prototype in La Rochelle. Hyped as a fast ferry for the Gironde. Actually has a row of seats for 5? px. With the 'pilot' up in the blister.
It does tend to look like a ferry for high end places? Werh cost per mile/px is not the primary consideration. I know what they say about that, but building costs might put a big dent in the idea.
