Another free boat laptop

This question is deeply flawed since, as Einstein observed (general relativity), time is relative and not absolute. Different people travelling at different speeds experience time differently.

So, to Dylan (pottering slowly around the coast) time is barely changing and he perceives that his progress is quite acceptable.

To the rest of us, rushing around in our busy lives, we perceive Dylan's progress as slow.

So, I have to ask, whose decade?

And the winner is.... Congrats Angele. Please pm me your details. Or pass if you don't want the lappie.

Thanks all. Apologies for the slow reply. As its been the hottest few days this year I have been lighting an enormous bonfire. Don't ask!

Well done Angele. Very clever. Thanks for the fun challenge Ex-SolentBoy. Very generous of you.

+1

Nice one Angele, your entry made me chuckle most, and applause to Ex-Solent boy for an amusing competition which brightened up my Friday with a genuinely useful prize. YBW at its best.

Ex-Solent Boy - thanks for the mug link (and thread) - at the speed with which the A$ is falling (+delivery) I'll return to my presbyterian ways.

Entertaining thread - brings out the best.

but as it runs Microsoft Windows it sticks out like a sore thumb in our, soon to be, "Apple only" house. I wouldn't want to run my business on it, but for an onboard machine it would be fine for someone who is still to see the light and swear to never use Windows ever again.

And if it a new one, I'd offer to swap it for my bl**dy Macbook Pro. Macs. Hate the d*mn things. Give me back XP or 7 any day...

Haven't heard from Angele. Does he/she still want the laptop?

Spent an hour or two deleting all our content and programmes (which, as is typical with Microsoft involves running the install software!) and needless to say the stupid machine will now not boot.

As I have no Microsoft discs or anything, and no desire to spend a moment longer with the machine than I have to are there any suggestions?

Ex-SolentBoy, if you don't yet have a taker for the laptop, I'll happily chip in here with hundreds of remarks on any themes you choose, some of them definitely comical, some just weird, some ground-breaking in their originality, but all beautifully written and proofread.

Available starting immediately, at the minimal cost to you of one laptop you don't want...(it does work, doesn't it?). Post now to avoid disappointment. :D

If I'd won it I'd have put Mint on it. Maybe that's the answer?

Sorry, been sailing. (Well, more finding jobs to do on board as it blew force 7 through the Solent on Saturday).

Gosh, I won!! Only entered as a bit of a larf, and didn't really think my effort was as good as some of the others.

I don't really want/need the laptop, so please pass on to the runner up.:)

Edit: Nico's fractal comment made me chuckle.
