They sent it to one end of the country at short notice (2 day days) and then collected it from the destination a few weeks later.

It's a bit like those Radio Four newsreaders who say:

Arrrgghh WHAT?

It's invariably either:
..."has died."
or something incredibly trivial such as "said yesterday that he thinks Boat Forums are a fantastic idea".
