So I am also proposing another Crouch social, which I will organise better than the last proverbial piss up in the brewery.

Saturday 7th July - 6pm on the river bank near Fambridge Yacht Station.

Bring your BBQs (or arrange to share with someone) and your own food/drink or something to share. There is one bench which got a bit crowded last time I was there :D so also bring something to sit on if you are too posh for mud and grass.

ALL WELCOME!

Put your name down if you intend to join in - so we know who to expect and to ensure that I am not there on my tod :cool:
 
Might be able to make that, Jane isn't working that weekend and it's got a "Sailing?" against it in the diary. I shall consult with the oracle :D
 
As my birthday usually falls on Pirate weekend, this is a welcome diversion, and will save Mrs FC a fortune on fine wine and dining.
I confirm a show for the Fcs, maybe with and maybe without Full Circle, but we may just tow our Trailer tent and park overnight.

It sounds just too posh to miss. The mud, the seating, how could anyone want to bypass such a chance to charcoal a piece of meat. Mrs M and I will do our best to attend and look forward to meeting even more of the East Coast Crowd.

It's all right for you, we'll have to cope with a voyage of at least, oh, 60 yards! (We've been promoted it seems and are now on the second buoy downstream of the pontoon instead of the third!)

I'll be jostling for room on the pontoon or else hanging off someone else - after my tortuous journey from (probably) Brandy Hole.

* select venue of preference, chances are somebody will be in each of them :o
 
It's looking more and more likely we won't find a babysitter for Saturday night so will probably be on board Saturday night. Depending on how brave we feel or if we can get crew we may well come up river.
 
Hmm, the BBQ plan may be going down the chute for various reasons - not too fussed myself to be honest, I'm quite happy in the pub thankyou ;)

If there's going to be a lack of action at Fambridge though Jane and I might consider toddling down to Burnham for Saturday evening instead if we can get a visitor berth and book a table for a meal

At this stage, hard to make definite plans until I see how my knee is doing as the week wears on
 
We tried hard to keep them away...

But we have ended up with guests on Saturday night so we can't stay down..

However we can make it on Friday evening..

Ha, Mr Laurin came up with the sensible suggestion that we drive to Fambridge, have BBQ then drive to Burnham. (Guess who's driving!)

I am wondering that - Is it Ferry boat or BBQ or not on? I don't want to come all that way and find nobody about
