Another BVI or rather Caribbean in general question.

We chartered a 47ft yacht there a few years ago and returned for a holiday to Tortola last year. Our boat is in the Med. The main difference you will find is that the seas are bigger, much bigger, boats smaller than 40ft do struggle sometimes. Its difficult to explain the difference in the wind but there is one. If I said the wind is F4 but it has no guts in it but on other occasions its F4 and it has, that sums it up. The winds out there are what I call "solid" I suppose its because they dont fluke around like they do in the Med but when you're there you will see what I mean. As a result the sailing is easier and more exhilarating.

In general other posters have the right idea about the food, in general it fails to impress and is very expensive. Its a shame because they hype it up and fail to deliver. There are some notable exceptions, on Tortola, The English Bar in Road Town and the ham burger sold at Pussers Landing. Its worth going for the Pussers Rum alone.
