Hi All, I have a Stack Pack Boom Cover that is very faded and I would like to dye it. My main concern is that if I use something like Dylon it may stain the sails over a period of time.

What is the forums recommendation on what to use and if it is at all possible?

PS. It is a canvas type material.

If the fabric is an acrylic canvas ,it's very unlikely that it will take dye.If Iit's a true canvas you would have to make sure that all the proofing is removed ,for the dye to go in to the fibre.Test on a small snip of fabric ,to see if its synthetic. It will melt when a match is put close.Non synthetic will char.
Acrylic canvas can be spray painted with some types of paint. This will rub off eventually.
Good luck.
Cindy
