For the most part the prejudice is all about the actions of a minority colouring people's view of the whole of a group. It only takes idiotic, inconsiderate or rude behaviour from a small number for us to imagine that every member of the group is the same.

How many white van drivers actually carve you up? How many BMW drivers are really aggressive? How many mobos actually make enough wash to cause significant problems? How many raggies actually tack up narrow channels and of those how many tack across the bows of mobos? How many racers ignore colregs? And so on?

What percentage of bad behaviour is enough to tar all members of a group with the same brush? 1%, 5%....
