SWMBO had to leave me on the boat recently and when home was looking at a tracking site and looking at boats we had been moored with who had set off before me. The tracking site was showing windspeeds from their data which effectively turned their boat into a mobile weather centre. Presumably the data was not in real time but from where the boats were and where they had set off from the data must have been within a hour of being correct. I have not yet looked at tracking sites to see which it was but this could be very useful weather info!
