Another Barge hits Henley Bridge

Not going to be easy getting off there without help. Stream running (yellows in that stretch now) and will be pressing them onto the bridge.

Maybe a rower decided to take the middle arch so he had to take avoiding action

Or maybe he took a look at the limited height of the bridge and decided a little too late, to try and turn back or around, rather than 'dip it'.

We were aiming to set off from Harleyford later this morning to head to Henley for the music festival but with the boards already on yellow am now starting to wonder if we should even try.

For those already at Henley what's the plans if the red boards get put out, will you stay moored until the alert get puts back to yellow before heading back home?

Moored on the booms at Henley, the river has dropped 4" from last night!

Not looking promising then. We are just about to set off to the marina but I have the feeling we may end up dring wine and eating supper there rather than moored at Henley listening to Lulu.

On the other hand we may take the bull by the horns and just go for it.

Just been informed that there's plenty of mooring space on the booms, and the barge "managed to scrape it self off the bridge" !

Thanks for the update. Mrs R just getting provisions the we will be heading to Henley so pleased to hear still moorings on the booms.
