We have been using Bio-Ethanol (95% ethanol) in place of meths for some time, as we have a couple of litres of it which doesn't look as if it's going to get used for a while, now busy mixing it with some glycerin to make home made hand sanitizer.

I have done that. I bought a litre of glycerine off eBay. The result is a bit stickier than the stuff you normally buy but I suppose its as effective.

I have since found a bottle of baby oil in the garage (used for anointing alloy mast and boom) and that's less sticky than the glycerine I bought

I've got bio-ethanal in the garage for my stove, by way of killing a few minutes and get me out of the way of the Missus during the lockdown , I might have a play. What ratio do you use?

833 ml of ethanol
41ml of hydrogen peroxide at 3%
15ml of glycerin.

as in the WHO guide.

I have over 80litres of ethanol and with our friendly local pharmacist, I 'v e been making up 1000ml, 100ml and 50ml bottles for people and places in the village where there are public touchpoints. e,g, someone brings a car into the garage and the door handles, steering wheel, gear stick and controls are wiped down. On return to the customer, also.

Please be aware that publicly available ethanol contains methanol and/or Bitrex. Do not use the liquid on surfaces where food is prepared.
