I have no connection whatsoever with this company, but today I took delivery of some new anodes from www.zincsmart.com. The outdrive on my boat was missing it model plate (its a volvo penta) when I bought the boat, and I've had no joy trying to identify the model - I've contacted various folks such as Volspec etc giving the serial no. and so on, but no one seems able to give me a definite answer - which makes ordering parts a bit hit and miss. As I've had it a year, I'm servicing it before it goes back in the water and needed new anodes obviously. The ring anode was corroded beyond recognition (half missing) - The Zincsmart people quite happily went and measured their way through a load of anodes to find the one I need - not only that, but they then had them on my doorstep within 24 hours. To top the lot, the genuine Volvo ones were quoted to me at £30.03 inc VAT plus postage to go on top of that, these zincsmart ones came to £18.03 INCLUSIVE of VAT and postage - and whats more, I noticed that the postage charge was EXACTLY the same as the price of the stamps on the package. We're always talking about bad companies, so I thought I'd mention a good experience for a change.
