Anode help please.

Hiya Peeps,

Bav 33, Volvo D1-30 with saildrive, lifting out soon. Can anyone tell me which anode I will need to replace the original?

You need an anode that fits a Volvo D1-30 saildrive...

There are three anodes on the prop and a ring anode on the drive leg behind the prop. They are shown together with brief fitting instructions in the owners manual. The ring anode may be one of those listed by z-guard

You'll prob.need prop anode... especially if you have folding prop and keep her plugged in on marina berth. I need prop anode each year on my Bav.34 on a marina plug in at Whitehaven. Saildrive anode lasts longer and engine anode longer still. KEYPART Ltd. stock em (01923 276000)...just specify your engine and saildrive and they'll sort you out. Brilliant service ..gear often with you next day!

agree with mikeg re anode life. In fact I have had the prop anodes totally disappear in a year. quite confusing when all you can find on the prop are the 3 stainless securing allen head bolts.
