Topped up the boat with Diesel the weekend and noticed a 5ppl increase at the pumps in Gosport. That was berth holders rate too!

Now 83ppl for berth holders and 88ppl for joe public

Anyone have cheaper on the south coast? Please don't depress me too much if it's THAT much cheaper :(

I'm berthed in Gosport and drive there from East Sussex. At the weekend I stopped at a petrol station selling red diesel at 74p / litre and filled my 5 gallon container. I do this regularly as I don't always go out so it mounts up. The station is just outside Lewes but I'm sure there's others in your neck of the woods. Particularly in rural areas supplying farmers. They only ask if it's for road use - if not - fill yer boots!

And don't forget it's going up 2ppl on first April. Government taking us for April fools again. Means tax level (ok tax & duty) for 100% propulsion is now well over 200%.

I think thats ok frankly.

From memory (log is on the boat) it was 81p in Decemeber 2009 and I see the road price has risen quite a bit since then. The whole fuel price issue is a con IMHO as the crude price has been hovering in the $70's for ages now

Corky thats a good move. We drive down from Richmond so will need to keep an eye out for Red Diesel enroute! :)

I called around last night to fix my curiosity and MDL Hythe is 94ppl! No more complaining from me...
