Has anyone else noticed that they always say things like...

"the south of england will be sunny and warm... while the West will have outbreaks of showers with scattered Tornadoes...."

So.... In plymouth we are just about as South as you can get.... but we are also just about as west as you can get....

Should I be paying atttention to what they say for the SOUTH ... or for the WEST???????

Why dont they make this clear??? Have none of these weather guys actually looked at a map and thought... "Hey this bit that sticks out down there is actually both SOUTH and WEST?????"

Muppets.

And they say,"in the west it will be wet and windy while in the east it will be sunny and warm." We're in the middle, it can be very confusing.

Your at least included, a lot of forcasts start at London go round to Wales then shoot across to Ireland then Scotland and down the east back to London finishing with a genralisation of the day for everyone but meaning London.

I find myself shoutin' at the telly, what about us in the NW

Why can't they give us the isobars on the maps any more?

That way we can estimate, for ourselves, the winds.

Were they not dropped as they were too confusing for the majority of us.

We are considered bright enough to view pretty symbols and listen to words no more complex than that used on sesame street.
