Angle of kilt

Am invited to a jockish wedding and am required to wear a picnic rug in place of trousers.

How do I measure the angle of dangle to make sure that my equipment stays ventilated but unexposed?

Correct length for the kilt is that when you are wearing it, it should just touch the ground if you are kneeling. Any longer or shorter looks really weird!

As for the under the kilt - your choice - go commando to be a purist but if not I guess a pair of jocks is the answer!!
