It was a big tide yesterday and at 3pm into full ebb and the currents are strong but that doesn't pose any problems unless you are trailer launching. There is a water taxi for your convenience so you dont have to faff about with tenders. The channel is not narrow but does have a couple of pinch points. You'd have been looking at Amanzi, 3rd pontoon out. Space there for a 30 footer. Views are incredible from the water.

Yes the ebb tide was running. I was parked at degannwy beach having my butties. Still it looked fanntastic.

I would love to come to your get together in April if you would have a newbie without aboat, but about to embark on this undoubtably great
adventure of life aboard.( not great grammar ).

You would be most welcome. Also, next time you plan on being in Conwy give us a heads up. I'd be delighted to show you around, introduce you to the river, clubs , pubs etc etc. Conwy has a lot to offer. And if you haven't sorted a boat out for yourself by then at least join us on the water for one of the boating events. You won't find a better way than that to help make the decision.
