I would like to put Navionics charts on my Windows 10 touchscreen laptop.
There are lots of Android emulators out there that would appear to let me do that. Has anyone had experience? Which are the best ones?

An alternative to consider is using OpenCPN (free) on Windows with Admiralty charts from www.visitmyharbour.com. A full set UK & Ireland charts for Windows are about £30, IIRC.

You don't need a dongle by the way - just keep going through the VMH website till you see the charts with a virtual disk for Windows.

Edit: Link is http://www.visitmyharbour.com/unified-charts/ Not sure 2018 charts are available yet but shouldn't be more than a few weeks away.

I installed the MEmu Android emulator for much the same reason as you. It worked very well but I've now uninstalled it as I ran out of memory on my mini-PC. I'm using OpenCPN with CM93v2 but I intend to update to o-charts oesenc before going back to the boat. They are legal, up-to-date and cheap vector charts at least as usable as Navionics - and work on Windows!

We do a lot of Android development and need to use emulators frequently. Performance is generally disappointing - particularly so if your PC is not built around an Intel processor. My primary laptop is AMD based and the emulators run painfully slowly.

Have you looked at OpenCPN plus o-charts? They do UK + Ireland + Belgium + Netherlands vector charts here for 24.50€ for use with OpenCPN, which is of course free and does a lot more than the Navionics Android app.

ps they work on Windows, Android and Linux

That's interesting - good price! I could not see any examples that indicate the level of detail that is available.

It's as good or better than Navionics and CM93. For instance my oesenc charts (I have Med France and Spain) show coastal contour lines that the others don't. Not much use for the OP though if he's only interested in Holland :( Seriously, they are proper leisure marine charts licensed from the various hydrographic authorities. I'd give you a screen shot but my internet connection is playing up just now.

BTW the licence allows for one installation plus a back-up = two installations

You may struggle to get the emulator to recognise the pc GPS.
Better of getting hold of a second hand Samsung 10in Android tab for around £100...
