The word ar5ehole springs to mind, but he would be an insult to all of them out there and there's an awful lot of them!

I am the @rsehole that you are talking about.
We have agreed that this was the wrong location, wrong time and wrong place and won't be doing anymore of these shoots here during the season.
Out of season there are no boats here anyway.

Yes there is a speed limit, we were wrong. We apologise.
Yes there were boats far too close, we were wrong. We apologise.
Yes we did speak with the harbour master and yes we have agreed that no more shoots will be carried out there, but out in the bay whilst the speed limit is in place and whilst other boaters/ boats may be affected.

We do always seek the owners permission prior to even turning the engine of their boat on let alone taking it off it's mooring.

It was a silly thing to be doing where it was being done.
I do stand by the fact and whilst it is no excuse, we checked nobody was in the area to upset. We have shot another two similar videos which should have been done out in the bay so apologies for them too.

This is an unreserved apology for a silly mistake. It seemed like a convenient idea, but was ill thought through.

Now the errors of you ways have been well & truly pointed out (lol) im sure the next time you will be more considerate for other water users.
Wish the same could be said for all MoBo folk.

aaaahhh now the real agenda (when considered alongside the title that the OP used). It's 'MoBo' folk are the problem. Same logic as it's 'men' that are the problem because one 'man' shot almost 100 people in Norway.

The more you believe your delusion the more you will find evidence to confirm it by remembering every time a MoBo transgresses your definition of acceptable, but ignoring all the other instances when they don't.
I know that I will not change your perception, but you should be aware that that is what it is.

Honestly guys.

It seemed like a good way to get convenient running "stills" of our brokerage boats and to get an action shot of a sports boat heeling into a turn is easy and can be done by crossing your own wash and flinging the wheel over at a remarkably low, sub planing, speed.
We then realised our little digi camera did video too and had the "clever" idea that we could do some video of the boats too... "Great selling point" "Show the boat in action".

Obviously this was very flawed as the boat needs to be going faster and to keep it in shot with the little digi compact camera meant very sharp turns etc etc to keep it as close as possible.

Yep, stupid idea.

I honestly don't mind apologising if I am aware I have screwed something up. I am also happy to be used as an example if I have screwed something up.
I am human and so do sometimes screw it up!!!! :-)

We are all human. Once again, my last word, SORRY to have offended.

You are picking on just part of what Sandyman said referring to mobos, the full quote is:-

That surely is the problem, that an inconsiderate act by a few thoughtless people then becomes expected as the norm. Sadly in Poole the tiny percentage of such incidents is seen quite frequently simply because a tiny percentage with the huge numbers of boats there is still a lot of incidents.

It is refreshing to hear the views of others and very courageous for Nautibusiness to come here and apologise.

hey, we are all human apology certinly accepted. Like us you are in the retail world and certainly we are having a bloody tough time, anything that might make your website and listings stand out is something worth pursuing. Video's of what you are selling is a great idea. Funny enough it is what we have started doing... but hopefully cant see ours will cause much offence? (I'm not going to put any link to this as people might think I'm advertising....)

A walk around the boat even when stationery would be just a good as this video on the go IMHO, go round the boat, inside the boat, round the cockpit, into the engine bay, start the engine, video it all with a commentary... jobs done, nobody gets upset.:)

As I said he was wearing a life jacket so he must have been a professional!

I did have a sneaky suspicion it was a dealer....

An honest and gracious apology and a recognition that wrong had been done and lessons have been learned.

As nauti intimated, sometimes we do things with good intent but without recognising fully the consequences. Its what we do upon this recognition that is probably more important. Thankfully it appears no damage or injury so that draws a line under it IMO.

Others on here may not know you as well as I do so after seeing the videos may have got the wrong impression about you. I however know you wouldn't do something so stupid intentionally and that after a large dose of hind sight will be furious with yourself and rightly so!

We are all susceptible to stupidity (even me) but never mind, pick yourself up dust yourself down and be more bl**dy careful :)

BTW we are all (pbsbac) hoping to raft up in Studland bay on Sunday just down from the sea horses, will you be coming around to upset us all? Just thought I'd ask :D

motor boaters bad name

i am a motor boater. Note this video dosent represent any motor boat operaters that i know. In fact in the video the boat is being controlled be a selfish dangerous but never the less run of the mill typical B**TARD.
 
Wow. I am lost for words that you couldn't have foreseen the problems caused by posting your videos. There are lines of moored up boats, you are terrorising the moorings. On someone else's boat as well that you had borrowed to try and sell.

I would be tempted to pull them off YouTube immediately to try and limit the damage to your business. Having seen those videos there is no way on God's earth I would entrust my boat to you and I suspect others will feel the same.

The idea of showing boats underway is a good one if thought out.

Get them off YouTube now!

Thank you to Martin and others who have taken my apology in the way it was intended.

A good idea, ill thought through.
As it happens, with the right boats we still plan to run videos of their easy handling and also walk throughs where possible.
One poster (Firefly I think) pointed out that anything to try and stand out from the crowd is good initiative and this is all we hoped to do. Obviously we handled it badly.

For those that continued the witch hunt after office hours, well that's a little unfair and to demand the videos are taken down "now" at quarter to two in the morning is a little beyond my abilities, but after seeing the offence caused and realising the silliness of the actions they were deleted as soon as I arrived at my desk this morning.

The right idea, very badly put together and I hope now, put to bed.
