I take it you want 3/16" diameter ?

Whitworth is 24 tpi as is ANC 10

BSF is 32 tpi as is ANF 10

M5 is larger and the pitch is 0.8mm , approx 31.75 tpi

2BA is slightly smaller and approx 31.35 tpi

Are you trying to match something?

If you live anywhere remotely urban or industrial there will be a bolt and fastener stockist nearby.
When I lived in Hull I'd just go in with a bolt or nut and they'd match it up for me.

Yep, need to match it up to fit.

The 10 bolts were £3 inc postage. Cant drive into town for that money, let alone the time for chasing that one up.

So happy to waste a few quid to get a result.

It is part of a usa supplied bit of kit, does that help ??

Sounds like you need a thread guage to measure the no of turns per inch TPI

It doesn't appear to include UNF & UNC so maybe not suitable.

However this type of gauge can be difficult to use on female threads. The trick is to find a male thread that fits and measure that. But if you find a bolt that fits you may have already solved your problem !

I didn't know that you can still get Whitworth

A lot of stuff from China has Whitworth threads. I bought a cantilever umbrella for the garden and all the fittings were.

Is your problem that you need to match a bolt with one you already have, or that you need a bolt to go into a female thread attached to something large.
If the former, you could send the existing bolt to a supplier and ask them to match it or measure the threads with a ruler. If the latter, you definately need a thread gauge.
