With a couple of square miles to play in, do they ever stop to think what it feels like to have several tons of boat heading straight at you for a couple of minutes at thirty or whatever knots? No, of course they don't.

If that worries you I hope you don’t encounter jetski which create far more issues etc in hitting other objects. Generally most users in the Solent of mobo have their eyes open -sometimes you see ribs which hit buoys in the Soton water but generally even these well driven compared to jetski types.
 
Used to scared on the. Medway on a Sunday. The motor boats on autopilot going buoy to buoy and making maximum wash , being just off the plane.
