Ok, finished polishing her with Gtechniq Multi Stage polish and she is looking good. Very easy to apply, work and no dust or anything. Does not leave streaks so buffing is a breeze. Antifoul and service on Wednesday and then Ceramic coating over the weekend. 😅

are you doing the ceramic coating yourself ?
 
Yes. I was quoted £8K from a local detailer so I decided to watch countless YouTube videos (still do as the deadline approaches) and I feel confident enough to give it a go. The polish I used does not seem to have wax, which is a big plus, nevertheless, on Saturday I shall wash it with Gtechniq UV wash shampoo, followed by Gtechniq panel cleaner and then the ceramic.
 
I’ve polished and ceramic coated my boat. You’ve done the hard part with the polishing. A final clean with the panel wipe is important to get a good key. Applying the ceramic coating was simple, less time than waxing. Just have plenty of microfibre cloths to wipe off. I did approx 1m2 at a time. If you’re really keen you can do a second coat immediately afterwards. Check the manufacturer instructions.
 
Cheers. I went for Gtechnic after reading lots of reviews etc. Bought all the kits needed from their website and yes, lots and lots of Gtechnic super duper microfibre towels. I also bought the artificial teak sealer. I think I will have extra coating left and if I do, the outboards will have a treatment as well 😂😂😂😂
 
I’ve used Car Pro UK CA on the boat. Only because it’s the best price and they specifically say it can be used on gel coat. I’ve ceramic coated my 2 cars. It’s not rocket science. A professional detailer we’ll probably get a bit better results but I’m not after show car / boat finish. Just want a surface that’s easy to clean for a couple of years. I looked into boat ceramic coating a few years ago when I did my cars but the product cost was crazy. I’ve been watching the cost come down since and did the boat this year.£200 for a 13m boat

I have sealed my car with Ceramic Sealant a couple of times and worked pretty well. Because the boat is new, I wanted to give it the real deal and protect the Gelcoat from the early days.
