I'm not entirely sure the first part is quite rude enough to shock even the most elderly and fragile of forumites but as it turns out it is actually an american dialect word, and not a rude one:

Appreciated, I'll have a reasonable library for when I'm stuck with nothing to do. Very handy on harbour/anchorage nights. I can unload a few pounds of paper and not be moaning about favourite reads getting wet.
