Yes i know there was a thread on s'butt, but things are a bit different for us stinkies.
Wots the forums thoughts on an anchor for a 26' 3tonne Sunfury??
Currently have a danforth but keep catching the pointy bits on the bow gelcoat.
It's attached to plenty of heavy chain

Looks like the spade or the delta for you mate! Probably 20 lb, would be ok. IMHO.

Jimmy Greens site gives 10Kg for a Delta which agrees.

Hi Tico,
Mines a 10Kg bruce anchor with 15m chain + 15m rope
Holds the boat fine - still knocks 7 bells out of the gelcoat if you are over enthusiastic hauling it up - wheres that gelcoat filler?
Wonder if a windlass would help.

I have a 5kg Bruce attached to two fathoms of chain then rope which holds a 27ft Aquabell very well. Doesn't matter whether you use muscle power or a windlass you still need to be careful to avoid damage to the gelcoat!
