We are planning to visit Brittany from our East Coast base this summer and have worked things so we can be away 10-12 weeks, obviously we will have to keep as near as possible to our budget and from experience of sailing down the South coast to Weymouth and back home in 2004 when there were a succession of S/W gales,it seems that having to hole up in the likes of Eastbourne and Brighton would make a big hole in the finances if there was another poor weather year.I would welcome any suggestions as to anchorages, club moorings etc that could be used en route. We are a 36ft Westerly Solway, bilge keeler and will quite happily take the ground if need be.
Thanks. Bill
