Depends where the wind is from and whether you want to land a dinghy or not
In any weather, Newtown Creek (go in, turn to port for anchorage) but will be very crowded and, if tide is low, nowhere to land. Alternatively, try East Head in Chichester Harbour (good holding but tide runs hard through anchorage so ensure anchor is set well) where you can land on beach and have bbq
In Easterlies/Southerlies, Alum Bay is good but subject to wake/swell. Worth taking cable car to amusement park (very tacky but kids love it) at top or walk if youre feeling fit. Superb views
In Southerlies, try Priory Bay or Osborne Bay off N. coast of Isle of Wight
In Westerlies, try off Keyhaven or off Shanklin or Sandown, IoW
In Northerlies, try Freshwater Bay off S. coast IoW

Alternatively, go to Poole and anchor in Studland Bay (good safe beach + ice cream kiosk) or Swanage Bay except in Easterlies
