Finally set sail after a winter spent in Gibraltar. A few hiccups along the way so back into another marina.

How many of us are truly looking forward to the simplicity of spending the next few months going from one anchorage to another? It's not just the financial aspect, but the sheer joy of having nothing other to do than get the hook ready to drop (over sand please) wins over tying fenders and rigging lines to go 100%.

The occasional day in a marina is fun, chance to dress up a bit without having to drag the tender up the beach whilst wearing a pretty dress, but lacks the freedom of anchoring.

Yes, an anchorage any time! No noisy nieghbours an arms length away, the bliss of being able to swim directly from the boat, no squeaking fenders, no dust and dirt from the quay, the privacy and as you say , the freedom.
